Meet RoxAnne Prystupa (Star)

Born and raised in the Battlefords, RoxAnne Prystupa, also known as Roxy, is a proud hometown girl with deep roots in her community. She is a wife, mother of two, teacher at North Battleford Comprehensive High School (NBCHS), and a Certified Nutritionist and Functional Health Practitioner through her business, Roxy's Nutrition.
With Cree Métis and Ukrainian roots, dance has been a significant part of RoxAnne's life. She spent an incredible 27 years Ukrainian dancing, including teaching and five years of professional dancing. While she brings plenty of dance experience to the stage, Swinging with the Stars 2027 presents a completely different challenge. This time, she's stepping outside her comfort zone and trading her familiar Ukrainian dance steps for Hip Hop!
A lifelong learner who enjoys challenging herself and trying new things, RoxAnne is excited to embrace this opportunity. But her decision to participate in Swinging with the Stars goes far beyond dancing.
For RoxAnne, supporting local healthcare is deeply personal. She and her husband experienced five consecutive pregnancy losses, each of which brought them through the doors of Battlefords Union Hospital. During some of their most difficult moments, the care, compassion, and support they received became an important part of their family's story.
Through Swinging with the Stars, RoxAnne hopes to give back to a hospital that has meant so much to her family while also bringing awareness to pregnancy and child loss. By sharing her story, she hopes to remind others facing similar experiences that they are never alone.
For RoxAnne, this journey is about more than learning a new dance style. It's an opportunity to challenge herself, celebrate her love of dance, and make a meaningful difference for local healthcare.

Meet Teigan Furber (Pro)

For Teigan Furber, dance isn't just a passion. It's been a major part of her life for 25 years!
Originally beginning her dance journey in Tisdale, Saskatchewan, Teigan has built an impressive background in both performing and teaching. She has been teaching dance professionally for the past 10 years, sharing her knowledge and passion with dancers in Saskatoon, Biggar, and North Battleford.
Today, Teigan resides in Biggar, where she is the owner and Artistic Director of Biggar School of Dance. She also teaches at Annette's School of Dance in North Battleford, helping dancers develop their skills, confidence, and love for performing.
Beyond the dance studio, Teigan is an entrepreneur and Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA). After working full-time as a CPA, she recently shifted her focus entirely to her business ventures. Along with running her dance school, she partners with her sister to operate Swimming Lessons @yourtownhere, a travelling swim school that serves multiple communities, including two locations in the Battlefords.
Teigan enjoys teaching a wide variety of dance styles, but Tap and Hip Hop are among her favourites. With years of experience and a genuine enthusiasm for dance, she's excited to bring her skills and creativity to the Swinging with the Stars stage.
For Teigan, participating in Swinging with the Stars 2027 is an opportunity to return to the spotlight, connect with the community, and use something she loves to support a great cause.
She's looking forward to sharing the stage with RoxAnne, embracing the energy of Hip Hop, and helping raise funds for healthcare close to home.
