Meet Heather Berezowski (Star)
Born and raised in the Battlefords, Heather Berezowski has always had strong ties to her hometown. After leaving to complete her education and first year of teaching, Heather returned to the community she loves to teach, coach volleyball, and eventually start her own business.
Today, Heather is the proud owner of Berezowski Massage Therapy, a wife, and a mom to a wonderful daughter. She's also a familiar face on the volleyball courts, having coached with the Battlefords Volleyball Club (BVC) alongside her husband for the past 12 years.
For Heather, the Battlefords has been a wonderful place to grow up and raise a family. She's watched the community grow and evolve, particularly when it comes to healthcare services. Having personally needed specialized healthcare, she understands how meaningful it is when those services become available closer to home.
When it comes to dancing, Heather's daughter might say she doesn't have any "real" dance experience, but Heather would beg to differ! She spent her school years, from kindergarten through Grade 12, Highland dancing. Although it's been quite some time since she's laced up her dance shoes, she's excited to dust off her kilt and see just how much she remembers.
Heather is looking forward to returning to the dance floor at Swinging with the Stars 2027, embracing the challenge, and supporting the community that has given her and her family so much.
Meet Mishele Roche (Pro)
Born and raised in the Battlefords, Mishele Roche continues to call Battleford home, where she lives with her husband and their dog.
Mishele works as the Operations Manager at Jackfish Lodge, and during the off-season, you can often find her behind the taps at her family's business, Armoury Brewing Company. When she's not working, she enjoys golfing, attending spin classes, and spending time with her dog.
Dance has been a big part of Mishele's life. She spent 14 years Highland dancing with the Battleford Highland Dance Association, beginning at just three years old and continuing until she was 17. She's even returned to the studio for a few adult classes over the years, keeping her love of Highland dance alive.
For Mishele, supporting local healthcare is deeply personal. When her mother was diagnosed with breast cancer, she was able to receive many of her chemotherapy treatments at Battlefords Union Hospital rather than travelling to Saskatoon. Having that care available close to home helped her family avoid the additional expenses and challenges of travelling for treatment.
After attending all three previous Swinging with the Stars nights, Mishele is thrilled to experience the event from the other side of the stage! She's excited to bring Highland dancing back into the spotlight while raising funds for a cause that has made a meaningful difference in her own family's life.
